The Petts Wood bias-cut slip maxi dress is cut in 100% cupro and finished in harbour navy. cut in our pearl and slate palette and held in stock in Orpington.
How this dress is put together
100% cupro. Seams are stitched at a consistent tension and finished so they lie flat against the skin, with side seams overlocked or French-seamed depending on the cloth weight. Necklines are faced rather than bound where the fabric is fine, so nothing shows through. Zips are set into a taped seam so they run straight, and buttonholes are stitched twice. Hems are weighted to the fabric: a deeper turn on drapey viscose so it hangs true, a narrow rolled hem on bias satin so it does not fight the fall.
Care
Hand wash cool at 30C or use a delicate machine cycle inside a mesh bag, no wringing, dry flat in shade to protect the bias hang, cool iron on the reverse through a cloth.
