Description
The Elmstead straight column dress is cut in 95% cotton 5% elastane and finished in deep pewter. cut in our pearl and slate palette and held in stock in Orpington.
How this dress is put together
95% cotton 5% elastane. Seams are stitched at a consistent tension and finished so they lie flat against the skin, with side seams overlocked or French-seamed depending on the cloth weight. Necklines are faced rather than bound where the fabric is fine, so nothing shows through. Zips are set into a taped seam so they run straight, and buttonholes are stitched twice. Hems are weighted to the fabric: a deeper turn on drapey viscose so it hangs true, a narrow rolled hem on bias satin so it does not fight the fall.
Care
Machine wash cool at 30C on a gentle cycle, wash with similar colours, do not bleach, line dry away from direct sun, warm iron on the reverse.
